Speed/FMG Combo Guage to GPS?

I have the speed/FMG combo guage and would like it to run from the Garmin.

There is a black wire and plug on the guage already with a strange looking plug on it.

Will this work or do I need the signal lead 6Y5-87122-S0-00 from the diagram?

No replace that lead with 6Y5-85721-F0-00 GPS signal lead.

Does that lead connect right to the black and gold plug on my guage and do you have it in stock?

Yes it goes in place of the speedometer lead(one with small white connector).

Also don't forget to set dipswitch in gauge to GPS and not speedometer.
