  • 2006, 50 HP TLR-Carb ?

The Yamaha parts breakdown shows a pilot jet adjusting screw/spring on each carb with an associated plug covering them.

On a 50TLR is there really an adjustment screw there when you remove the plug ??

I'm assuming the plug is there so owners will not tamper with factory adjustments.

Is the plug easy to remove? Can or should it be re-installed after adjusting ?

Any thoughts on adjustment?-Factory manual does not mention this but the Clymers manual does ???

    Comments please......Thanks !!

The plug is easy to remove with a small flathead screwdriver but make sure you note how many times you turned it before it comes loose. It needs to be in the same depth when you put it back.

There's no screw slots on mine.

Just a shinny smooth brass colored plug that is flush with the carb casing ????
