    Two part question
    1. Do you need a special socket to remove the O2 sensor?
    2. On another format several guys said they replaced the O2 sensor with a new one that they matched up at a parts store. The O2 sensor from a 2000 Chevy was their answer. I have a 2000 225 EFI------- I know the O2 sensors are expensive, so is a new powerhead because of a wrong part. This past summer I dropped 1000 rpm, I'm assuming it's the O2 or the fuel pumps.
    Thanks

you could also have bad fuel pumps- unspent gas out of prop while running

you can unbolt 2 mech pumps, leave hoses intact, pump ball...if bad gas will flow out of the vacuum port.

you could also have a clogged vst tank filter, if you havent cleaned it in a year or 2 it should be done as preventative maint.

first....try running on an auxillary tank, hose and ball hooked to motor filter to rule out a tank side issue.
