  • To much water pressure?

Before removing the salt water crust from the water jackets, heads and head covers the water pressure would max out at 18-20 psi. Now with a very clean water system and all new cooling related parts the water pressure will go to 28+ psi....and a very strong pee. Is that possible? Is it OK?
Sure hope some of the experienced folk can shed some light on this. I searched the forum on related topics...but none on this.
    Thanks

The engine has a pressure control valve that opens if water pressure gets too high. Remove the valve cover and see if valve is moving freely in and out of grommet. If PCV is working ok then no need to worry about a high water pressure reading.
