  • Fuel Problem: 200 HPDI (2000 model)

My engine cut out on me today and would not start.

Even though my fuel gauge said I had half a tank, I put in another five gallons of fuel, just in case it was malfunctioning.

    Still wouldn't start.

I disconnected the fuel lines before and after the fuel/water separator and the the lines were dry. I cranked the engine and no fuel came out of the line.

Could this be a fuel pump problem?

I followed the fuel line back as far as I could but I didn't see the fuel pump. Any ideas where is the fuel pump is located? (The boat is a 2000 20' Scout Dorado).

    Thanks.

use an auxillary tank , ball and hose hooked to your motor filter ....pump ball and try to start, you need to isolate the fuel supply from motor and see which side is not working right.
