1998 150 will not shut down sometimes

Sometimes my motor will not shutdown. I turn the key off and it will not shut down I pull the emg. stop and it still does not shut down. This may happen about every three stops I make while fishing.

Have the white wire in main engine harness tested,it may be broken inside the harness. The ign. switch and kill switch could be bad but likely both be bad at once

engine harness, main harness or key switch. The white wire is put to ground to shut off the engine. Ohms check the white wire. Usally on the engine harness on old Yamahas the cover didnt fit well and water gets in engine pan.
