  • Unloading an O/B at 400hrs - what's up?

Why do so many people seem to unload their their outboard motors @ or around 400hrs?

Is there something I don't know?

    Any comments are appreciated.

I don't know, haven't heard that before. I just worked on a Z250TXRB last week with 2,670 hours on it.

I'm selling my 2001 250 OX66 with 400 - 500 hrs because I want to switch to 4 strokes. I'm waiting for the promotion where they double the warranty.
Maybe people unload them because the warranty runs out.
