1987 70hp Oil Pump Linkage Adjustment

I have a 1987 70 hp model 70ETLH. I installed the new Mikuni oil pump with the external check valves. Yamaha does not include an instruction sheet with this replacement oil pump kit and the service manual has instructions for the original Keim oil pump. Does anyone know the adjustment for the oil pump control linkage with the new pump? The oil pump kit has a different control link rod and also includes the check valves. This kit is used on 1985-1988 70hp and 90hp engines and is part number 6H1-WS132-00-00. I called Yamaha customer service and they did not know.

Back off idle screw on carb linkage and sync. carb linkage so all throttle plates are closed completely. Adjust oil link arm so there is about a 5mm gap between oil pump lever and stop pin on oil pump. Then readjust idle.
