  • Strange electrical "whine" from gauge

I have the digital gauge package with fuel management on twin 150's 2004 year and get a strange whining noise from behind the gauges. The sound is there when the boat is going fast but not when cruising slow off plane. It is not always there and changes pitch and intensity when turning the boat or going over waves. I have checked the dipp switches and they appear correct and have checked the wiring connections I can get to for tightness without success. This is really driving me crazy and have not been able to find any suggstions that help. Anyone have any ideas????

    Thanks
    Rich

I havn't had any doing that, the only thing that comes to mind is a kink or hole in speedometer tubing or water pressure gauge tubing. It is a pressure tubing that would increase as speed increases. You can block off speedo tubing at motor to see if makes a difference.

    Thanks
