  • removing propeller shaft

    I suspect to having a bad gear from the last oil change..lots od metal shaving on the magnet and in the old oil...I want to take apart...but I dont know how to remove the claw washer behind the propeller...it's treaded or pressurized..? do I need a special tool or just a puller? thanks.

    You will need special tools to remove bearing carrier and retorque it on installation. If you have replace gears you may need to reshim which also requires special tools and a service manual.
