  • 150 HPDI Overheat Alarms

I have twin 150 HPDIs. When used in areas with no floating weeds, the alarms never go off. When there is floating weeds, it frequently goes off.
Replacing the pumps and impellars has not changed performance. I think it may be a situation where the motors position in relation to the hull is causing the weeds to be deflected to the intakes. Is anyone else having this problem? If so, what would you suggest to make the intakes less sensitive?

    stay AWAY FROM THE weed

transducer, pitot or anything else mounted on transom that might grab weeds and cause cavitation ? ive drug many hours in weeds and never had any issues.... just hit reverse to clear them.
