  • ox66 + girlfriend = bad

I've got a 2002 ox66 250 and my girlfriend was helping me load it onto the trailer this afternoon. She smashed the gas, and then put it into gear. Something popped and now its not getting any power to the prop. When I put it into gear with the motor off, you can spin it forward but there is a rubber sticking sound and it will not let you push it in reverse.
When you put it into reverse, you can spin it backward with the rubber sound and it will not spin forward. That all seems normal, but it won't get power once you crank the motor.

Any ideas on what I managed to have break? And how much/hard to fix it?

    Thanks
    Chris

    Ouch!
Probably broke a gear or drive shaft. Either way the lower unit will have to be rebuilt or replaced.

Maybe if you were lucky you might have spun the hub on the prop and not the gear case

I wish, I am not that lucky! Its not the hub, that was the first thing I checked. Any idea on how much a rebuild on one of these lower units costs?
