  • Changing the impellor 1989 115

The above has not been changed in 2 years and the boat is used for the summer (in the UK) for 3 months only (stands for the rest of the time). I am competent at stripping, cleaning, rebuilding carbs, and want to attempt the above. Do I need any special tools, is it reasonably easy to do (if we are careful, anyone have any tips/links etc), and do I need to order just the impellor or do I need extra gaskets, any help would be good, as the local technicians are non-existant.

    Thanks

If I were you, I'd get the waterpump kit(has everything) and do that now, then it's all new, and all you need is the impeller and some sealant for as many years as the rest of the stuff lasts.....good luck. tom

No special tools required......don't lose the key/pin that holds the impeller in.....
