    hello there i need some help before i spend a truck load of money i own a 2001 f50tlrz outboard and it is overcharging my batt. i checked it with a voltmeter and it gose from 15.2 volts to 15.9 and then 16 volts i have been told that i could be my stator or my rectifier regulator can someone tell me if im going in the right derection with the rectafier regulator and if not can someone point me in the right derection thank you glen p.s the rectafier regulator is on backorder i have been waiting for a month already .............if its backordered could that mean the there is a problem with them ? thanks again

    It doesn't have a fully regulated voltage regulator on that engine so replacing the rectifier/regulator may result in same thing. Make sure battery is in good condition, clean and tighten battery cables(use hex head nuts not wing nuts) and clean and tighten wire and cable connections at motor.
