Yamaha 225 o/b problem

Maybe someone can shed some light on my little engine problem-
The engine runs fine at idle and at WOT, but coming out of the hole, the engine bogs down and runs very rough. I shift the engine into neutral and rev it a few times (it blows out some smoke like a 2stroke would) and then go back into drive and the engine runs fine and ramps up to speed like normal. Does this sound like a oil mixture sensor or oil pump? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

when is the last time you :

changed motor fuel filter ?
tested/changed fuel pumps ?
cleaned vapor tank filter ?
tested/cleaned o2 sensor ?

tested/changed fuel pumps ? tested at yamaha service shop
cleaned vapor tank filter ? roughly 3 mo's ago
tested/cleaned o2 sensor ? not sure, but I thought the mechanic cleaned it when it was in the shop. Also, I use RingFree Yama gas additive all the time.
Could it be the higher levels of ethanol in the fuel these days?

in this area i havent heard of many gas issues....
if those items are in order , MYSELF i would look into a non/partial firing plug, weak coils or clogged/bad inj.
