Remote Control to Tiller

I am considering the purchase of a Yamaha 30ESRT it is set with remote steering which I would prefer changing to a tiller control. It seems the throttle parts in this outboard would not work with a tiller handle at first sight as the linkage is on the right side of the outboard. Thanks for any suggestions or info.

The Tiller handle assy is 6J8-W0084-11-4D but may not be available anymore.
