  • T-8 Fuel Delivery Problem

I have a new T-8 which was installed on a new boat as a kicker.

The T-8 runs fine for about 30 minutes, then runs out of fuel. The bulb is collapsed, so it looks like some sort of fuel delivery problem. I can squeeze the bulb and get the motor going again (however the bulb does not fully inflate).

I also have a F-150 on the boat which runs off the same fuel separator

Because the F-150 runs fine, I don't think there is any sort of fuel venting issue. I changed the fuel line and bulb and that didn't solve the problem either.

    Anyone have any ideas?

i never play with the small motors but does it have a quick disconnect...that MAY have a bad o-ring ??
same seperator.... same tank or aux tank?? aux tank may not be venting.
check the flows on the seperator also.
pinched line or clogged pickup prior to seperator?
swap feed line from 150 to 8 and diagnose.

      Same Tank, same separator.

Switching the ports coming out of the separator showed the problem was with only one port coming out of the separator.

When the separator was disassembled, a small o-ring was found in the separator. I believe that o-ring was causing fuel restriction on the one port of the separator.

I tried it this weekend and problem resolved. Kicker ran for 4 hours straight without any issues.

      Thanks
