  • F115 Requires Fuel Purging

After proper warm-up, engine will stall around 2,000 rpm and will not plane. Disconnect outlet hose on low pressure pump and purge with 3 squeezes of primer bulb. Reconnect, start engine and bleed system at test valve on top of fuel injection manifold. Will run great the resto of the day. Replaced clamps, o-rings, hoses, and clamps. Still does the same. Help!

The steps you are taking to get it running shouldn't have any affect on a hesitation or stalling problem. You might remove and clean the vapor separator tank, there is a filter inside tank on electric fuel pump that may be plugged up.

I failed to mention that the reason I did all these line and clamp replacements, was because I saw an air pocket in the small filter bowl on the low pressure side of the pump. Does this engine rid itself of air automatically?

If it is that filter, why does it run fine the rest of the day after purging the system?
