  • Throttle and Steering Cable

Question. The threaded rod end on both the throttle and steering cable are too shore to reach the mating ends on the engine. Now the cable is long enough, just not the ends. Is there a threaded extenderw/ coupling that I can get to get the extra 1 1/2 inch.

    Thanks:

You can adjust cable ends in control box to gain more adjustment back on engine but not 1 1/2 inches. Are you sure you have the right cable ends and cables are fastened in holder in right place? I'm not sure what you mean on steering cable, it just threads onto tilt tube of engine or on a transom cable bracket, if the cable reaches it should thread on.
