    1) When you tilt the motor up and then put it down to lower the tilt setting, the motor acts like it is flooded and requires a lot of tries to get started again. Primer bulb is still solid. Any ideas?
    2) Motor would not run proplerly today. Any time you faster than idle the motor would bog down and try to die. If you blocked the air intake with your hand partially it would run better. We stuffed a sock in the intake and the motor and it would run good enough to get on plane. Are these the signs of a dirty carb. Motor had not been rund in 6 months. Any thoughts on a quick fix before I have to spend some money.

How many carbs are there? I only see one on the side. We bought this motor so it would be less maintanence than the 1977 johnson that we were using before.

What kind of preventative care do we need to do with this motor to prevent this in the future? Is there an additive like ring free that we should be running on the 4 strokes. This motor only has maybe 12 hours on it. And it pampered compared to the old 2-stroke we used to use.

What is a good price for a carb cleaning? Is this something that can be done with a service manual easily, or are there special tool required? Would this be covered by the 3 year warrantee that came with the motor?
