Looking at yamaha tachometers 6Y5-83540-20-00 and 6Y7-83540-70-00. I have a 9.9 4 stroke F9.9elrd motor and a 703 control box. Will I be able to use either of these tachs as well as being able to utilize the warning lights? Will I need special wiring harnesses? Is there any difference in the two tachs other than the 6Y5-83540-20-00 being a pro series?

No the 9.9 does have the sensor's for the warning lights. You can use 6Y5-83540-14-00 tach without warning lights. -

The 9.9 does or does not have sensors for the warning lights?
If it does have sensors I do or dont have to use a wiring harness?
