  • 200 HP 2 stroke oil resevoir problem

I have a 91 200HP engine that intermitantly has a problem with the oil resivoir overflowing. At first I thought the oil resivoir sensor float was stiking on the mesh filter assembly, so I removed the filter and the problem went away for a while, but now it has returned. Has anyone seen this problem before, and know where the problem is.

It could be the oil level sensor in engine oil tank or the oil control module thats mounted below oil tank. The oil sensor is the most common problem.

tank the sensor apart and lightly sand the brass shaft. clean middle of float by sticking piece of rag thru it and turning. make sure to put float back on right way. it has a top and bottom.
