Do you really need to lift the motor off the boat to get out the back bolt on the trim motor?!

Most definitely. No shortcut that I have ever heard of. You may be able to lift it off the boat just enough to get to the bolt but you still need to lift the motor. -

sometimes u can use a tree. or put blocks under the motor to support it
u do not need to take fully off
some guys take the clamp bracket off one side to get it to swing outComment
