What is the test procedure for these pumps

if you have a hand vacuum pump , the pump should not allow any air passage back down thru the lower intake side. if not..you can blow UP thru it but shouldnt be able to passany air back down. you can also look at the diaphram but you might not see the issue. 35 bucks is well worth the headache they can cause.

yea I spent 70 bucks on both 8 moths ago and run sea foam through them and they are toast.
