  • 9.9 "wash" screw on lower end., what is it?

changed the lower unit oil today and noticed a "wash" screw beside the top lower unit plug. looked in the handbook, no explanation.....does anybody know what this is for and how it works? its a 9.9 four stroke yam. motor.

You remove the flush screw and thread in ABB-FLUSH-JD-00 flusher and turn water on. It allows you to flush out without running motor.
