YAMAHA 200OSX IGNITION SWITCH

Hello,

I am having a problem with my Yamaha 200OSX engine. The symptoms are as follow:
Ignition alarm goes off during and after start with the engine cold.
Engine runs well at low RPMs.
RPMs increase and decrease while running throttle in a higher setting.
Water flow through the engine looks fine.
Oil level is high.

Boat was okay until a few days ago when the spare battery was removed. Similar symptoms manifested less than a year ago. Ignition switch had to be replaced as a result. I would like your opinion before I incur the expense once more. Please advise if there is any basic troubleshooting I should do. Also, please suggest a good technical manual for troubleshooting.

check your fuse holders for the buzzer problem. as for the rpm rise and fall, that would be your throttle position sensor.

if youre getting varying rpms, you may want to check your 02 sensor also.
