Info needed for 40hp

I just got a uesed 40hp Yamaha for my project skiff. My first Yamaha by the way. I would like to know what year it is as the old onwer believed it was a 1986 but was not sure.

Model # 40ETLH
code # 6H4 L

Did not see it run but comprestion was good at 95 psi each and the gear oil looked good. This thing should fly on a 13' skiff.

The "H" in model number 40ETLH means it's a 1987 motor.
