  • Mounting Height #1?

Would that be engine mounted high or low on the transome?

  • #2
#1 hole would be engine mounted all the way down, #4 would be the highest setting on transom.

      Thanks!

This one is mounted all the way up in the 4th hole. Its a 20' Hurricane GS201 with a F115 that I just bought used.

When I trim it up cavitates pretty bad. The local dealer says that they mount them like this all the time but they use a 13 1/4 x 17 aluminum and I have a SS 13 1/4x 19.

The Hurricane website lists a performance bulletin that lists mounting height as #1. I guess I'll change the prop first then lower the engine if I still can't trim it.

We use the second hole on the GS201 Hurricane and havn't had any cavitation problems.

          Thanks

So I would need to drop my engine down 2 holes to be where you mount them? What do you think about the 19 ss prop?
