yesterday evening i headed outta pass a grill in 2' slop. i was a little anxious bout gettin to the marker to get bait before the sun went down and had the hammer down. boat was takin a beating and was commin outta the water frequently. i got close to the marker and started to back off the throttle and nothin happened! i shut her down and when i started it back up it started and reved up to redline and i shut it down. it wouldnt restart. i got a tow in from the kind folkes from ekherd colledge. on the way in i started lookin around under the cowling. i messed with a few linkages and was able to get the motor to restart and idle some what at a normal rpm. i also found a male and female plug unplugged. i plugged it back in and an alarm started sounding. it is still buzzing now when i turn the ignition on. what could this alarm be and how do i fix it? keep in mind i barely have the money to feed it fuel so taking it to a mechanic is highly outta the question.......its a 2004 carbed yame 70...........

how bout a photo of the unhooked harness instead of a photo of the boat ?
you might want to do a compression check before you run it again.
