Threads on lower unit drain plug not standard?

I'm going to change out the gear lube on my F200 this weekend, for the first time. I found a gear lube pump that looks like it would be an improvement over the squeeze tube method, but it says it needs a special adapter for Yamahas??? Does that mean the standard squeeze tubes don't fit either?

Yes, it's a metric thread (8mm x 1.25?) for the Yamahas and Hondas and such. The Sierra part number is 18-9794 and they cost about $5. You can find one at West Marine, Bass Pro, or your Yamaha dealer.

But if you find a pump with a generic cone tip on the end of the hose that'll work too.

Thanks Ham! Found the adaptor at my local dealer and that should do the trick!
