Pilot tube for Speedo

Hi All,

Does anyone have suggestion on how to reconnect the pilot tube to a lower unit with out dropping it. Seems silly to drop the LU just for that. MY tube on a 90 HP broke free, I can't quite get to it with my fingers although I think I feel the connector. Any Ideas?

I have never tried to put it on without removing lower unit, but I don't think you can.
