8 hp, high thrust, tilt problem

Hi
My 3 yr old electric tilt on my 8 hp high thrust (kicker) is stuck.
When I push the button the motor runs but the motor does not move up or down.
This has been getting worse all summer but now it is completely stuck.
Any suggestions (What to look for first, 2nd?) would be very much appreciated.

Did you check the fluid level in the unit?
