• Yamaha 70TLRC Power Loss Seperator ?

Hi,
We have a (new this Spring) 70TLRC that is experiencing power loss when on plane. (it is on a 19 Carolina Skiff that we picked up as pre-rig so everythig is new this year) Come off plane and it tends to be fine. Then it fuel starves and stalls. The boat has no fuel seperator and I am now burning 10% Ethanol. We have had a TON of rain this year in Md so I am thinking we have a water issue. My plan is to change the fuel filter and add a seperator. Any recomendations on what seperator to use and where to get it??
Thanks!

Hedda,
Yeah, Yamaha is recommending (their) 10 micron fuel filter/water separator to combat the ill effects of ethanol blended fuel.
If you want to go with Yamaha brand, check out the sponsor of this forum, boats.net.
If you want to go with Racor, which, in my opinion is the best - and they make the filters for Yamaha, check out www.marinefilters.com.
Or, do a search with Google for "racor filters" for other dealers.
I just installed a Racor for my C115 Yamaha - I like the "see-thru" bowl with drain feature.
Good luck ,
