yamaha multifunction gauge on T8PXR

I have a used Yamaha multifunction digital gauge off a '99 50hp 4-stroke that I plugged into my '06 T8PXR and the tach works but is calibrated wrong. Is there a way to make this tach accurate for the T8? Right now it reads 400 rpm at idle and 2600 full throttle. Also,is the T8 able to send oil and temp signals to this gauge? The trim settings seem to read but are always up to the high setting of 5, and doesn't seem to change.

If you set both dip switches in back of gauge to the up position( 2 lead trim sender and 6 pole alternator) it should work.

I have two multi-function outboard tochometers and a speedometer. The readings seem to be correct, but the JCD display is failing.Is there a way to have this repaired, or does this mean I have to replace the whole thing?
