• Steel Prop Reccomendation Needed

I am looking to upgrade to a stainless steel prop.

My boat is a 2001 TDB Sea Class 17 with a 2001 Yamaha 50TLRZ outboard

The boat is a little obscure info Here:http://www.tdbco.com/tdb_17_sea_class.htm

I am looking for a reccomendation on what prop to get. I am looking for shorter hole shot in shallow water and more top end. boat will do about 36 mph now.

Any ideas?

Hello,

May be best to let everyone know what pitch prop you have now. Also to get faster whole shot you may need to reduce pitch which could impact top end depending on RPM at WOT. I am not sure how smaller outboards will react to a SS prop. Also do you have power trim?

Duck',
Get in touch with a prop expert - this guy is the Power Tech Prop rep for Louisiana, and he is as good as they come.
You can reach him at marcus@ptprop.com - he will probably give you a phone number - be warned, he will talk your head off, because he takes his profession very seriously - he's good!
Just tell him what boat and motor you have and what performance you are looking for, and he will recommend the right prop.
Good luck ,
