'02 Yamaha 50hp

I am having trouble with my 50, when you turn key on right away the alarm comes on. I have checked all oil levels, have checked both thermal switches, they work fine, and even replaced the oil level sensor. I have charged battery and it seems to be pumping water ok. If I unhook the oil tank level meter the alarm quits but still stays in the rpm reduction mode. This all began when the oil level went down and now that tank is filled it continues. Is there any way to reset ECU? What else could I check?

If you dont have Yamaha gauges with oil level and trim gauge then the 2 gauge wire harness's on engine may be connected to each other. There is a male and female 4 prong(1 goes to trim sender and other goes to oil level sensor)that should only be used if Yamaha Gauges are installed. If connected togather, disconnect them and leave loose.
