    Hi,

Seem to have a problem with my new outboard (74hrs). When I run it full throttle, it works fine, but after about 45 seconds, the rev's go down and the engine starts running on three cylinders only. (bottom one stops ).

When I checked the good working of the fuel-injectors, it appeared that the bottom one wasn't working. (took plug off, no difference in engine running) Replaced it and hit full throttle again. Same occurs......replaced again and same keeps occuring. The engine gets enough fuel and also when a (yamaha-dealer) friend of mine hooked up a laptop, we could't find any failure-records. We checked the good working of the injectors and of the fuel-pump and that seemed OK.

Do you have any suggestions maybe ??

    Thanks on forehand,
    Martin

The laptop should help troubleshoot if it's connected at the time of rpm loss. Laptop will not read fuel pressure or fuel vacumn and you need to monitor fuel pressure when rpm loss is occuring by connecting a fuel pressure gauge to schrader valve on fuel rail.
