• overheating at low rpm

I have a 1999 70hp 2 stroke that is overheating at low rpm (*****ing speed), but not consistently, only sometimes. No problems at high speed. Stream of water that exits at rear of housing is noticably warm when alarm sounds, the stream of water also seems to not be as strong/steady as it should. Any suggestions?

AK,
If that water pump is at least three years old,
need to install a kit.
Boats.net, sponsor of this forum, is a good source for parts - great prices and service.
Good luck ,
