200ox66 engine dies when hit a bump

My 2004 200hp ox66 dies when I hit a wave. It loses about 500 rpm and then comes back. It runs fine in flat water and no change in fuel mileage or oil useage. Plugs are new, gas filter new, just serviced. ANy hints. It is unnerving

Has ANY work been done to your motor besides the initial 20 hr?
far shot on this but i would drain the vapor tank and pump ball enuf to refill it.check all ground points on motor. please let us know what it was when resolved as i have a pair of those also.

That would be a hard one to troubleshoot and most everthing would just be a quess, but you may have your dealer test the knock sensor.

I have the same problem with my 1998 225 OX66 and the repair shop is having a hard time figuiring this problem out. My engine completely dies, and will start up everytime after it shuts down if you figuire out the problem please let me know what it was.

I had the same problem and it was a clogged VST filter.

I would change/replace that if I was you.
