If your planning on using it in a airplane in the future then it must stay in the original container and sealed (plastic lids that fits on those cans)Originally posted by pstephens46 View PostThis 5606 Hydro fluid. Can the excess I may not need be stored in a plastic bottle? Might there be issues?
But I don't think you are going to do that....so a motor oil plastic bottle clearly marked 5606 HYDRAULIC FLUID would be good.
Why don't you just use ATF????
What are you putting it in?

when the need first arose, I refused to buy the Teleflex Liquid Diamonds - IIRC I googled a gallon of 5606 - shipped - for the price of a local Seastar quart.
That savings was enough to satisfy me - although I have no doubt ATF - or even Tractor Supply hydraulic oil - would work fine.
