    It does, I was just fooled by the short distance the float travels. If I loosened the screw, the float could travel much further. But the float end is not the important, so now it travels a shorter distance but still very freely.

    My insecurity was what caused it all. Not saying it will run, but I think it will.

      If you could post a picture of the float, pin and screw...that may be helpful. Pictures are worth a thousand words.

        I know, I brought my phone down to the garage to take a pic, but I forgot. And today I refitted it and started in the backyard. Pumped the bulb some extra, and it started right up on first pull.

        (on a side-note, it still stalled after 2 minutes, but I adjusted idle and now I'm certain it is OK)
