Did you wear dungarees when in the Navy or the camo stuff they wear nowadays? I did not like the dungarees, hated the ice cream suit (can you say being blinded in a sea of white?) but the dress blues were OK. Wool as I recall. Got a bit hot when I landed in Honolulu.

The buttons gave the lady a chance to change her mind I suppose. Not like a quick zip.

about the only time I minded dress Whites was when handling line 5 in them.
I did the pre-commissioning and the commissioning of the USS Arliegh Burke DDG-51.
still don't understand how 2 Burke class destroyers we hit.

I cannot fathom the poor shipmate that had to dog the watertights knowing shipmates were in the space.
