"flushing device" improvement

Can I leave the quick disconnect attached to my outboard and use the boat without having any overheating issues

when you are not using it for flushing the engine,
the flushing hose doesn't do anything;
no water flows through it when it is screwed on to that black plastic nub -
its just 'parked' there.

but with quick disconnects,
if you use both a male and a female fitting on the engine,
you can still 'park it' there

Jeeeez, this is Sooo old, always flush in the "Running Position" (Thru W/P) and use salt away. Some fool wanna argue with simple fact !
