9.9 Battery Charging?

We have an early 90's ish yamaha 9.9 2 stroke outboard, I would like to add a bilge pump and a battery to power the bilge pump. Would this outboard have the ability to charge the battery? If so, how and where do I go about tapping into the charging circuit? any additional regulators etc required??

Matthew,
Take a look at your motor in the online catalog above - I have looked at '92 models, and there are a lot of different ones.
You need the exact year and model - if your model has a "lighting coil" as part of the stator assy, then you can add a rectifier/regulator.
