440 police interceptor.....probably 7-8 mpg. It probably did have special carb and cam.....Now I remember talking to a state trooper in the 1970's. He told of having his early 70's cruiser pegged one time at over 160 mph. Scary considering bias ply tires or whatever they had on those things.
That was a line from the Blues Brothers.
The car I had was an early 2000's Crown Vic. They reinforced the frame and I think used different shocks but the engine was stock. That car got pretty good gas mileage.
That car had only 24K on it when I bought it. I think it had been in an accident. Possibly rear ended.
