Ouch!!Originally posted by Copper_John View PostThe prime starter assembly.
As for the part #, the 65W-14901-50 part # is not available anymore, just the
14380-00-00.
Simply copy and paste the part #'s (in the search parts box) and it'll show you
what's what, the latest part #, etc...Last edited by TownsendsFJR1300; 06-01-2017, 05:40 AM.Scott

I'd call boats net(sponsor here), give your year / model # and find out. The parts section shows either fits. The difference (besides the #, no idea). Their also about the cheapest to order from-Very fast delivery IME.Originally posted by Copper_John View PostOuch is right. There are 2 items both are compatible is there a better one or will either work?

Humm, never heard that before... Doesn't surprise me thou.Originally posted by Copper_John View PostI spoke to boats.net tech support. Their explanation for the double items is you need the engine serial number along with the model number.
Guess they changed the part mid production...
Glad you called.

looks like you can get the whole carb for $300, does that include the prime start assembly?
It looks like it does as it is all inside the lines in diagram
you end up with some spare parts for just a few dollars more than the prime start assemble only.
what ever you do, do not do again what you did to the old prime start assembly to break itLast edited by 99yam40; 06-01-2017, 11:36 AM.

Amen to that! I always make the job harder than it should be. I am considering going the new carb route for 40 bucks more I get a clean carb. Just gotta set the idle and float height. What could go wrongOriginally posted by 99yam40 View Postlooks like you can get the whole carb for $300, does that include the prime start assembly?
