    CruzPro units

Boscoe, if this CruzPro gauge such as the T30 water engine temp is connected to the Yamaha Temp alarm sensor not a sending unit do you know if it would interpret the signal obtained by the sensor to register an actual temp on the temp. gauge, or have I misunderstood what you were saying about connecting this gauge to the Yamaha temp alarm?

The Cruzpro temp gauge would not be connected to the Yamaha temperature alarm system. Thus the use of the word standalone.

It would be in addition to the Yamaha temperature alarm system. Completely separate and isolated therefrom.

The Cruzpro would use its own separately mounted sender as well. It would give you what you want (a visual indication of engine temperature) and give you what rodnut thinks you need (an audible alarm).
