Hello,
New here and have read and learned from this forum, i recently bought a boat with a 2000 40 hp yamaha four stroke carbed. it runs well at full throttle and seems to idle rough and dies when you to to accelerate to quickly. i have taken the carbs apart for cleaning and reinstalled with the same issue, i noticed that the top carb is not shooting a stream of gas out of the accelerator nozzle like the bottom two are . I have tried to clean the blockage in the nozzle without much success, I have read that there is a procedure to drill the carb body to gain access to the accelerator jet but i cannot find any info on this. any help would be greatly appreciated . (FYI) I already changed the main and pilot jets to the lager ones from the 25 hp Yamaha and removed the covers from the air bleeds for syncing carbs correctly)
