Hour meter

I have 2017 center console that I want to install the Yamaha Pro Series 2
# 6Y7-83504-10-00 hour meter. I would like to buy and install it myself due to the fact that my dealer wants almost $400.00.

My center console only has a Tach. and I need to know if it is hard to wire .
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is plug and play. Can be wired so that any time the switch is on time will be logged or any time the switch is on and the engine is running time will be logged. Just a matter of how the connections are made.
