My 2004 225 hpdi has gone from about 24 psi down to about 15 psi. No overheating problems yet. Is it possible that the themostats could have debris in them causing them to stay open? Only about 25 hours on new water pump. Any suggestions?
I would look at the pressure relief valve. If it doesn't have the newly redesigned mushroom headed PRV installed I would do that as well. You can check the thermostats if you want to, it's possible they could be stuck open by something. Use new gaskets on everything.
